My Experience as a Summer Intern at Innovaccer

I completed my summer internship at Innovaccer Inc from May to July 2021. This is my experience from the application process to the final day.

About The Company: Innovaccer Inc

Innovaccer Inc. is a Silicon Valley-based healthcare firm created by Abhinav Shashank, Kanav Hasija, and Sandeep Gupta that delivers population health management and Pay-for-performance solutions to physician practises, hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare providers. Innovaccer also offers care management, referral management, and connected health systems. The firm was established in 2012 and is based in San Francisco, California. The firm was inducted into the Unicorn club in February 2021, with a worth of $1.3 billion.

Application Process

I applied through my college placement cell but applications were also open otherwise. Candidates could directly apply on summergeeks.

Selection Process

There were two rounds in the selection process. First, there was an online test. We had to take an online test based on the field we had chosen while applying (backend in my case). After clearing the online test round, there was an interview. The interview was about 40 minutes and it was virtual on Google Meet.

Welcome Week

There was no technical work assigned to us in the first week of the internship. It was dedicated to getting used to the company workflow and the tools they used. We also had to complete a few mandatory courses from Innovaccer Academy which ranged from data compliance policies to sexual harassment awareness. There was also quite a few tutorial workshops arranged to help the interns get familiar with the tech stack and the software used inside the company. Every intern was assigned, two senior engineers for direct communication throughout the internship.
