About the Company

Triomics Healthcare is a Y Combinator-backed company that started in the latter half of 2020. Triomics specializes in the clinal-trials domain, making them accessible, transparent, and safe.
The clinical trial space in India was previously void of relevant technology. As a result, the process for a drug/vaccine getting developed to its release in the general market took a long time. Making the process very unfortunate, especially when time is of the essence, like, let’s say there’s a global pandemic?
Triomics has developed a comprehensive ecosystem of products making the process more affordable, fast, and safe. In addition, Triomics collects clinical trial data at the source and minimizes data discrepancies.

About My Role

I have worked as a Software Engineering Intern for the past six months. My primary responsibilities included working on the backend side. I developed backend applications using Django Rest Framework.
Django is a python web development framework used to develop feature-rich backend applications. During my time here, I worked on two of the products Triomics has to offer, contributing much more to one of them than the other.

My Time At Triomics

During my time here, I worked on two of the products Triomics has to offer. Apart from Django, I worked with Django Rest Framework, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux for my day-to-day work here.
I used a lot of services from AWS. Including Lambda, S3, Cloud9, CloudWatch, Elastic Kubernetes Service, Load Balancer, EC2, Open Search, Elastic Container Service, and many more.

I used AWS Lambda to create serverless functions to perform actions that were not feasible on the central server. And connected it to S3 to automatically trigger based on file upload and then made a webhook in the Django application to update the details in the database.

Postman was also an essential tool I used. I didn’t just use it for general testing of the APIs during development but also for documentation of the product’s backend. The documentation with good examples made it super convenient for the frontend team to integrate the APIs.

Guidance From Bennett University

I’m an undergrad student at Bennett University, and they’ve been nothing but helpful throughout it all. All the professors have been very supportive of all the students. The skills I learned at Bennett University as part of the curriculum and from all the club events helped me every day through my work.
